Control & Delivery of Goods & Materials on Campus 

All goods purchased on behalf of the ÒÚÍò¸»ÎÌÓéÀÖ³Ç are processed through Goods Receiving. Upon arrival, relevant paperwork is verified, and goods are dispatched to their respective locations via the portering service, with the assistance of a delivery van for outlying campus buildings.

The Goods Receiving team processed approximately 28,750 packages in 2024.

If a "Collect and Return" service is required from a supplier, the Goods Receiving area can be used as a collection point.

To ensure efficient delivery, staff must keep their room number and contact details up to date:

  • ÒÚÍò¸»ÎÌÓéÀÖ³Ç Direct Employees: Update details via KI 1194 on the Core Portal. 

  • Employees of ÒÚÍò¸»ÎÌÓéÀÖ³Ç Partner Companies: Update details on PAMS - ÒÚÍò¸»ÎÌÓéÀÖ³Ç | SSP.

To update your Agresso set-up details, email financial.systems@ul.ie with your new location details.

Goods Receiving manages all items leaving the ÒÚÍò¸»ÎÌÓéÀÖ³Ç Campus, through an approved service provider. The specialized services offered include:

  1. Express Delivery for urgent items.

  2. Secure Delivery for high-value items requiring insurance coverage.

  1. Recording Deliveries:

    • All packages received at Goods Inwards are logged in the ‘Goods Inwards – Goods Received Log’.

    • Deliveries from all sources, including individual or independent companies/retail outlets are recorded.

  2. Temperature-Sensitive Packages:

    • Packages requiring cold storage are placed in the appropriate storage facility within Goods Inwards (4’C or -20’C).

    • The intended recipient is contacted to confirm package arrival and must collect it promptly.

    • Collection must be confirmed with the recipient’s signature.

  3. Customer-Collected Packages:

    • Customers anticipating time-sensitive packages may collect them from Goods Inwards upon delivery confirmation.

    • Collection must be recorded, and the recipient or their nominated representative must sign for the package.
